Hedge your Bitcoin with confidence.
A ten-lesson masterclass that takes you from "I've never traded a derivative" to building real hedges on a large Bitcoin position — taught entirely through plain language, everyday analogies, and payoff tables you can read by eye. No formulas. No jargon walls.
Why this course is different
Intuition, not equations
Every idea arrives as an analogy — insurance, a deductible, a refundable deposit, a melting ice cube — backed by simple price-by-price tables. The platform does the math; your job is to feel which way each force pushes.
Built for a crypto holder
You already know spot, leverage, and perpetuals. This course meets you there and points everything at one goal: protecting a large Bitcoin stack without selling it.
Real, worked hedges
By the end you'll build and compare a protective put, a bear put spread, and a zero-cost collar on a real 10-BTC example — and know exactly which to reach for.
Go at your own pace
Work through lessons in order, mark each one complete, and your progress is saved in this browser. Pick up exactly where you left off.
📌 The running example you'll see throughout
A single example threads through every lesson: you hold 10 BTC. To keep the arithmetic clean and memorable, Bitcoin is treated as if it trades at an illustrative $100,000, making the position worth roughly $1,000,000. Your cost basis is lower than today's price — which is why simply selling would trigger a painful tax bill, and why hedging becomes the recurring theme.
All prices, premiums, and strikes in this course are illustrative. They're chosen to make the mechanics obvious, not to reflect any live quote. The shapes and the reasoning are what transfer to real markets.
The lessons
🧮 Try the interactive Payoff Calculator
Build any position — including the protective put, bear put spread, and zero-cost collar from Lesson 9 — and watch its profit/loss diagram, breakeven, max profit/loss, probability of profit, and Greeks update live. Runs entirely in your browser.
How to get the most out of it
Go in order
Each lesson builds strictly on the ones before it. The two flagship lessons — Crypto & Bitcoin Options and Hedging with Spreads — lean heavily on the foundations, so resist the urge to skip ahead.
Read the tables slowly
When a payoff table appears, walk it row by row and find the floor, the cap, or the breakeven by eye. The intuition lives in the table, not in any equation.
Use the self-checks
End each lesson with its self-check questions and the "common questions" accordions. If an answer surprises you, re-read that section before moving on.
One sitting per lesson
Lessons run 25–50 minutes. The flagship hedging lesson is the densest — give it the most time, and feel free to split it across two sittings.
